Swapping from External to Internal Microphone

    Hello all,
    I know that lots of people have been having mic problems, so appologies if this has been answered before. (but I can't find it if it has.)

    My internal microphone doesn't record (with Audacity or Skype) but an external one does. When I look at Settings>Audio>Options it gives the Input Source as "External Mic". When I change this to "Internal Mic" and exit the window then open it up again it is still showing "External Mic".

    Does anyone know how to force it to stay as the "Internal Mic" option ?
