Synaptic driver not working on Aspire 1 AO722

    I removed the Elan driver and installed Synaptic. But the only function that can be configured is the 2 buttons. Is Elan the only driver that would work? thanks!

    Hardware by one manufacturer, will more than likely never work with a driver from another manufacturer. There are exceptions, but not in your case. Put the original driver back on.

    I thought Acer posted both drivers b/c they both work. I guess they used 2 manufacturers. Thanks!
