I have an A1 SSD, system restore is turned off. When I try to turn it on it will not let me, I get an applet say System restore encountered an error trying to enable/disable one or more drives. Please restart your machine and try again. I did that still N/G, so I shut down and removed the 8G card from its slot figuring maybe that was the issue. Still N/G!!! Any ideas on how to activate SR will be appreciated.

Phil. is it your intent to use eRecovery on your hidden partition? If so, use it (in the Start Menu) rather than System Restore in the Control Panel. If so, it might be good to leave System Restore on just it case it might somehow block eRecovery (I'm not sure about that). But, they are two different things.
