    Hi all,
The best way to solve all your Acer problems on the Aspire one is to do what I did.
Take it back to PC world and get your money back or exchange it for an IPOD classic 120 gig.
Stick Linux and this forum.. you are wasting your time.
    Stick with Windows.

    See ya

Hey, you're so obviously right. Use an iPod as your laptop and you'll be fine: much easier than learning something a little new.

(This is the guy who couldn't find Updates on his One. Two clicks - now that's just too hard. Sheesh. Hope the iPod doesn't come with a manual or anything difficult like that.)

I bought the laptop to do screen writing in my SPARE ( I work 12 hour shifts in a factory - 5 days a week)..
I wanted the laptop to write screenplays on it. ( NOT TO SIT TRYING TO REPAIR OR RECOVER IT ALL DAY AND NIGHT).
I have had it 2 days and I havent wrote a single page down. ( BECAUSE IT IS FUBARED).
I am better using a pen and paper, at least with the IPOD, I can do what I set out to do with it, listen to music and watching films.
    WRITE A SCREENPLAY.

So you clicked on the icon saying 'Writer' and got on with it, yes? What was the problem with that?

Good for you bro. The ONE is not for everyone. Specially to those who are intellectually challenged. Hehe. Have fun with your ipod. And let us enjoy our Acer One's. ;)

Another craptacular post here. "I can't figure it out or have a problem, so I'm going to give up and return it and SO SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE." That's what the OP is saying for us to do. Sorry genius, I got an XP AAO and quite happy with it, thank you very much. Go buy a Mac and be happy with all the preconfigured crap, as Steve Jobs already has your mind and soul in his pocket.
