I know I can use MovieMaker to capture video from the built-in camera. However, I'd also like to be able to snap single images, preferably as .jpg files. Is there a built-in app that will do this?

My computer -> select the camera -> look on the left hand side menu to take a snapshot (ive forgotten the shortcut for snapshots)

I did it very slightly differently (I don't like the task-based interface, I prefer the classic look): Open My Computer, right click on the camera ('Acer Crystal Eye') and click Get Pictures. It starts a wizard that'll grab snaps, 640x480 jpg. Just what I was looking for - thanks! :)
