Taskbar background issues

    I'm wanting to put my task bar on the top of the screen but when I restart it doesn't load the background. I've managed to force it to load by editing the gtk theme I'm using but now all the systray icons have black lines above them. I've seen some pretty sweet tricked out taskbars on this forum so was hoping someone could lend a hand. Thanks.
