Team Arena

Is any body here running the Quake 3 mission pack Team Arena?

If so, was there anything special that you need to do to make it work?

I've copied my Team Arena .pk3 files into the missionpack folder. I've then selected the Team Arena option within Q3 and successfully entered my CD key. But when I try to load Team Arena, the game always quits back to the regular Q3 menu screen.

The Q3 installation I'm using is the one from the Linpus package manager.

Answered my own question...

Schoolboy error on my part - When Q3 installs via the package manager the missionpack folder contains 3 files - pak1, pa2 and pak3. While the Team Arena CD has 5 pak files - pak0, pak1, pa2, pak3 and pak4.

I figured I need to copy over pak0 and pak4 to my Acer as they were both 'missing'. But you only need pak0 - copying pak4 to the missionpack folder seems to stop Team Arena from working. But after deleting it everything runs perfectly!

So if anyone else has this problem running Q3 Team Arena on Linpus (which I doubt), make sure you've only copied over pak0.
