Has anybody successfully used the HTC Hero with T-Mobile as a modem to get online? If so I'd be grateful for any steps.

I used to use GnomePPP to get online with an N95 and O2

    Thanks

Root the phone (Not sure if it's been done yet but will be at some stage either way!) and install 'Wireless Tether' it'll basically turn your phone into a Wireless Router, so you connect to it through wifi and it'll work perfectly. I do the same on my G1.

Goto XDA Developers forum for info on rooting your phone.

Does "Wireless Tether" act as an AdHoc connection or an Access Point? Just asking because Linpus is a pain with AdHoc connections.
