My Daughter killed her aspire one yesterday picking up a nasty virus the day she opened it for Christmas. Thanks to this site its been redone with a new XP install. I could not have done it without you.

My daughters died yesterday too. I have tried to do the bios flash, now trying to back up my sons to put on hers, and I'm lost. How did you put in the new windows? Maybe that would work for me. I have a heartbroken daughter and I am trying to avoid sending the computer back to acer. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

If you have an access to external CD/DVD ROM - connected via USB - you can boot Windows XP CD and install system as normally on any desktop PC.

If you do not have an access to this device try installing Windows of USB memory - any PenDrive. Instruction how to do that are obviously available in this forum...
