The infamous Recovery XP

    All I know about this program that's preinstalled, is that it royally screws up your system (reported by other users.) I'm just curious as to what the program is actually intended for. I'm not going to risk running it because I "stupidly" don't have a recent backup to hand, but would like to know why it is there.

    It appears to try to "fix" the grub bootloader to default XP to boot, but it's broken, so it instead removes all entries and leaves the system unbootable. Perhaps because it's installed on the Linux version of the AAO, which doesn't have XP installed.

    I guess it was there during development of the system image, and didn't get removed before ship.
