I searched the forums and found no help with this...

Right, so I have a theme for windowblinds that I absolutely love, simple and slim but pretty. However, WB will not work with a screen res less than 1024 x 768 (and hence will not work on the aspire one). Does anyone know how to hack WB so that it will work on this screen res? Or does anyone know of of a theme software that will function with this res out of the box?

    Thank you very much!!!!!

you just set your advanced prefs to show other resolutions in the display control panel then you can set the display to 1024 x 768 while you are using windowblinds . . works great . . am using eminence on mine :)

Thank you! I tried this, but it still wouldn't work, after hitting 'apply my changes' the theme changed to windows 2k classic but did not then change to the theme I had chosen.

Is there something about XP home SP3 that won't let windowblinds run? This is getting frustrating, I already have a healthy detest for Microsoft...

SP3 has a new version of uxtheme.dll . This is the very file that window blinds also changes in order for themes to be allowed by the system. Either upgrade your version that supports XP SP3. Or go google uxtheme.dll patch for XP SP3. I use the patched uxtheme, and I can install themes without installing any other application. Cheers. ;)

Here's an example... Nu-vista theme for Windows XP....

Now I have it sorted... WB is running beautifully. Of course i f-ed something else up... the skin I have came with a patch to remove the text from the log off and shut down buttons on the start menu. Was never a problem before, except that after patching something thought that explorer.exe was a virus and trashed it. grrr, now I have to wait while sfc runs and restores explorer.exe

After that I should be off and running, I will send screenshots once I can :)
