Thief 2

Has anyone been able to get this game running? I have not been able to even start the setup.

My copy didn't give me any trouble installing, it's version 1.18 though so that might be why.

I went to the site and I found that I am not able to even buy the game anymore. I had to download it through PB and I am unable to make it work. I don't want to break any forum rules, however if you are willing to share your version I would be very happy.

I already went through that thanks for the link though. I am having the issue when I the install does nothing. I also tried the run command that they mention without any luck. The weird thing is that I am also unable to install it in my desktop computer that is running an 8800gt. I have theif 3 and I played thief 1 back in the day and I really want to install thief 2 in the acer one. I love the thief game play but it looks that I am out of luck. I am going to have to try to buy it 2nd hand somewhere.

 

The ^^^ thief doesnt work either. WHen I hit install, or I do the d:\setup.exe -lgntforce, I get nothing. I will let it sit there all night but I am sure that it will not work. What a weird thing this game is, some people can install it and other just cannot. I cant install it in either computer.

Update: I let the setup.exe sit all night and nothing. DARN IT!

 

I bought Thief2 over Ebay for around 5 bucks including shipping. I will update you guys and if it works we'll work something out.

 

I just got the game in the mail today and I am sad to report that it is a no-go. I just lost 6 bucks NOOOOOOOOOOO! :cry:
