    I dunno but i look similar for what i did:

    1- Easeus partition manager, Reduce XP Partition to 70 GB, the rest to Vista [around 30+]
    2- Copy all the files on the Vista DVD to C:/Vista Folder, or wheathever folder you want.
    3- Run setup, make "D:" the partition on to install Vista
    3- ???
    4- Profit!

    And yes, i made XP The default operating system by modifing the load screen:
    On Vista Cmd type

    bcdedit /default {ntldr}

    And presto, not need to download EasyBCDedit [its only a gui, well seem to be really helpful]
