Thunar daemon not running well

I'm facing some problems on mounting USB drives (incl cameras) and Cards (check viewtopic.php?f=17&t=793) that seems to be caused by the fact that Thunar daemon is not running properly for user (it is ok for root).

Does anyone know how can I fix it or where to chekc/configure it? Problem raised after modifying xfce taskbar but I don't know if there is any link ..

I had that as well, not so safe to edit the panel

But at least I could get it working by taking out from panel configuration file the thunar entry.

The configuration file is /home/user/.config/xfce4/panel/panels.xml
and there was an entry <item name="thunar-tpa" id="12179529180"/>
which I took away and then it works fine.

If somebody has a better idea, pls tell,

Mmmm! .. I'm trying to delete that item .. but any time I do so it is re-writen :-(
DO you know how can I prevent it to happen gain?

OK .. finally I got it: I added trash applet to taskbar and it was adding the above mentioned lina to panels.xml. As soon as I removed this applet it finaly worked and I recovered USB automunting capability.
