Thunar Weirdness (missing toolbar)

I did a Live Update yesterday which I now regret
as it has taken me a good while to get everything
back to how I had it.

I have XFCE desktop and update screwed up Firefox
bookmarks and all my shortcuts on the desktop and
the panel. I also had the "DCOP server" issue.

Anyway, the one thing I cant resolve is in Thunar.

I have lost the 'toolbar'

When I do 'sudo thunar' I have the toolbar in question
visible with a few commands in and a navigation bar
for typing into locations such as /usr/share/ and the like.

When I run 'thunar' I loose this bar and I navigate
by 'blocks' with the folder name in it and a back arrow.
Its hard to explain but basically i dont have the Navigation Bar / Toolbar
for an unknown reason and I cant get it back

How do I get it back?
