    The time in my clock seem to wander off so I am trying to synchronize with the NTP server. However I'm getting the following message

    [user@localhost ~]$ ntpdate ntp.blueyonder.co.uk
    18 Jul 15:21:01 ntpdate[12498]: bind() fails: Permission denied
    [user@localhost ~]$ sudo !!
    sudo ntpdate ntp.blueyonder.co.uk
    audit_log_user_command(): Connection refused
    18 Jul 15:21:18 ntpdate[12646]: no server suitable for synchronization found

    I tried various NTP servers but I keep getting the same error message. Is there an easier way or a workaround.

    Do you have a firewall that is blocking your connection ?
