Hello. This is my first post; a few years ago we had to buy my son an Acer Aspire One A11OL for primary school, and since he no longer needs it, I am interested in removing the Linux Linpus Lite OS and installing Windows. I have read on this forum that Tiny 7 is ideal. I have managed to find and download the .iso file, but cannot put it onto a USB drive (all of the programs I've tried refuse to recognise the .iso). I've also found a torrent that gives the .iso in several .rar files, but only one of these extracts.
Could someone point me in the right direction, or explain how to get the .iso onto my USB disc?
    Many thanks,
    Florio

Thanks for the reply, something back.
I do actually know how to make the bootable USB stick; the problem is that the various programs I've used (such as Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool), don't seem to recognise the .iso file. I've just tried UltraISO, which I believed was going to work, but then I suddenly got a message saying "We are unable to copy your files. Please check your USB device and the ISO file and try again'.
Do you use Tiny7? If so, do you mind me asking which version and where you obtained it? Perhaps my .iso file is damaged or something.

Sorry don't use Tiny7, some usb flash drives, just don't work, something to do with the boot load sector of the drive itself. Personally found scandisk drives to work when others don't Sorry I cannot help further, another member may help
