I cannot seem to find out how to get TinyVista installed. Yes that sounds like a n00b question but I'm most definatly not. Just for some reason I can't figure this one out! Any suggestions?

I've spent all evening Googleing trying to find out how...No avail...

I am also having problems with TinyVista.

I have burnt the ISO to both a cd and a dvd, both boot up fine using the xBox 360 HD-DVD drive as the external DVD drive, seems to install fine until i get to the stage where it restarts and comes up with the installation screen again where it seems to hang at "Completing installation"

The hard drive light is on which to me says that it's foing stuff, but it will not progress past this stage.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated :)

PS: This is on an A110 if that makes any difference

Also, OP when you press the power button and the ACER splash screen comes up, press F2 and go into the boot tab of your bios, find out which one is your external drive, and move that one to the top using F5, exit saving your changes and it will reboot. after the splash screen has come up again, there will be another screen saying press any key to boot from CD/DVD. Do this and it should boot up.

Enjoy, and i hope you don't get the same problem as me :)

Never mind, it works now apart from all the drivers and things, seems to be working faster that OS X was on it and that's saying something.

I boot from an external CD/DVD with the TinyVista disc in and boot from the external ROM drive and it just seems to ignore it as if there were no CD in and continue to boot from the SSD...

    !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

So to do that would I just copy the files from within the ISO to the USB stick and boot from the USB?

Okay so I've managed to get it to boot and install but now it won't see the wifi adapter.

I've followed every tutorial and set of instructions I can find and still nothing.

Even when I go into Device Manager it only see the ethernet adapter, not the wifi...

you have to download the Atheros vista wireless drivers first , and somehow transfer it to the laptop , then install it. reboot after that , and it should work : ) .

See...I've tried that. I transferred the Atheros drives via USB and the AAO was just like "NO NOT HAVING IT!"

It's just not seeing the adapter at all! Not even showing up in the device manager as an un-recognised device.

when i first installed vista , the wireless card never showed up in the device manager , but about halfway through the atheros install , it told me to ignore the window`s driver looker up thingy , and it showed up in the manager .

make sure you download these drivers : viewtopic.php?f=11&t=13607

download the latest atheros wireless drivers from here

and install it . if it doesn`t work , use device manager , then update the drivers manually , and point it to the folder containing the drivers . restart , then it should work .

i was on mp4nation , and i left after i sold my s:flo and bought an itouch . there`s a topic called "byee : DD" in the offtopic section about it : ) .
