Is it the norm for the speakers to be low on the Toshiba model laptop. And for that matter where would I find the model of this Toshiba brand. My friend has a DELL I believe and the speakers are super loud.

I have a Toshiba Satellite and the sound is very low. There is a joke that it is to low for music and to loud for porn. Anyway, i did not understand your question about buying a Toshiba brand laptop. Toshiba is the brand. Did you mean a Toshiba laptop with loud speakers. If so, i think for the money you could find one with great speakers. When you decide to buy you just ask in the shop for what you want. They will have to test all of them for loudness and you will find the one suiting your needs.

Hi There I also own a Toshiba Satellite and I agree the sound quality is pretty - for the lack of better words (CRAPPY). So I highly recommend you buy your self a Logitech Laptop Portable Speaker for your Toshiba. My nephew bought me one of these 5 Christmases ago and when I tell you this puppy is loud, I truly mean LOUD and crystal clear quality. It's a great investment.
