Could someone please inform me of what the correct way to solder the touch screen controller using CN11 port would be. Do we use the ground and 5 volt source specified by lufcfan while using the USB+ and USB- from CN11 or do we use all of the connections provided by CN11 altogether. A diagram would be appreciated.

Also could someone please give me a general idea of where they chose to place their touch controller board. In Lufcfans guide he chose to place it on top of the harddrive but has anybody chosen any different locations? Where have people who used CN11 chosen to place their touch controller?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You.

I do not know how to connect it but I hope the two pics below help. The first pic is a LARGE pic of the AA1 CN11 and the second pic explains it pinout.

LOL.. that's not very helpful at all.. ;) CN11 isn't a usb header.

Anyways.. you can use the 5V + and ground from CN11 or you can find your own source of power. It doesn't matter. Both method will work.

looks to me that a USB header is exactly what it is :?:

If it isn't then what is it?

It should be a full USB header. You can connect two separate USB devices to it, one on DATA0 and one on DATA1 as pictured below. Now I do not know if both are active but if one is, they should both be live.

I believe only usb port on the CN11 is active. That's why I called it half a usb header.

NO, only the side with four pins is active.

Your picture showing connections on the 5 pin side, is just going to confuse someone.

I take it then that it has been tested. I did not know. I removed the picture to save confusion. So, as Jacklou states, it is only half a USB header?

    that is pretty strange.

The strange part is; that is still one usb port undiscovered...

7 accounted for and the chipset supports 8.

    You have a good point!
I personally have not tested the five pin side, (well maybe 5v but not D- and D+) but it was reported in the thread about "CN11" that only half the header is active. My picture was to help people make the correct wiring.

I will personally test the five pin side soon...

You know what I wish I outta went and did. Run wires from CN11 to a screw terminal under the blue tooth cover :(. That way you would always have access to them to put in what ever you want :)

Maybe I will do that when I get around to making a better heat sink.

Let us know what you find out :)

Open as not connected to anything. I had previously checked the 5v, and it is not there.
