Touchpad options do not work

    If you disable conn.manager does it continue to work OK?

    touchpad options still don't work, it starts and then kills itself almost instantly

    To anyone else who was frustrated by the cryptic "SOLVED" statement, without providing details, I can confirm I had the same problem, and tracked it down to the nowait.sh script in /etc/rc.d/slim

    At the end of this script, is a line as follows:

    for i in `cat /home/user/.gsynaptics/syn.conf`; do synclient $i; done
    This just executes the various commands in the syn.conf file. I found commenting this out resolved the issue (using a '#' character at the start of the line). Of course, its probably only 1 of the commands in the syn.conf which is causing the problem, but I didn't have time to try them all in turn, and removing it totally seems to have done the trick.
