    First Post!!!!

I have an AAO with WinXP and the 8gig ssd. I use this computer as my main computer for the most part. I set up with an external monitor (15 inch CRT, Hey their cheap) and a full size keyboard and mouse for when I'm doing school work and having to run multiple applications. I was wondering if anybody has used 2 external monitors with the AAO? I know there are usb to VGA adaptors so in theory the triple monitor set up would work. I was just wondering how well the little AAO would handle this.

    Thank you :)

Triple, quad, monitor setup works pretty well on AAO if you run 2D or light 3d applications. You can use usb video adapters to extend the monitors.

Have you heard a thing called usb docking station? Most usb docking station usually comes with its own video card. Thereare also usb video adapter (docking station with only video feature).

great information!!!! Thank you all so much!!!! I found a usb docking port on ebay that had the vga port and several usb ports. It sounds to me like this is the way for me to go since I often convert my netbook to a desktop fairly often. I can leave all my peripherals in place plugged into the docking station and when i'm ready to convert to desktop mode I just plug in the usb docking station and the other monitor and I'm good to go

New plan (for now) I found a VGA Splitter for $6.00 on ebay. I went ahead and purchased one of these splitters. I will try to use this splitter for now. I really like the idea of the usb dock and will probably go that route in the future.

Thanks again everyone. I will check back with a report on how the VGA splitter works out with the AAO

VGA splitter splits the signal thus mirroring the image. It's the same thing as "clone" mode. Thus you're won't be able to expand your screen estate.

BTW... cheap docking station only cost like $15.

jackulo is right, i tried a dvi splitter once..it just clones..like when you go in a hardware store and see 1000000 tvs with the same image..

but now that you ordered it, heres a tip if its useless..you can use it as a extension carrier which is not all that bad for $6.00

That's the thing that guy is looking for. Since he's cheap, that's not exactly what he's looking for. You can get a much better one for half the price with free shipping.

LOL, buying the wrong equipment isn't helping my bottom line either. :) I got my splitter and found out that a splitter just mirrors the image. I will be buying one of the usb VGA ports/laptop dock. Thank you for all your help.

Up to six ext screen should work with Samsung USB-driver Ubisync screens. I have the LD220 (only one!) and it work fine on USB for all applications.

Me not interested in three monitors, one external monitor is enough. What resolution is that 15" CRT working on? I thought the graphics could only handle 1024 by 600 maximum. How does one setup for a higher resolution on external monitor? HELP! Thanks, JOHN
