troubleshoot the webcam on acer aspire d255

    I can get the web cam to work when i open it under programs. but when i go into messenger to try and use it i keep getting an error telling me that the other party does not have camera installed when they do?

    Sounds like your webcam is fine. The problem is more than likely the version of messenger you're using. Try to update to the latest version and see if the problem goes away. If not, make sure the person on the other end of the conversation is also running an up-to-date version of the software.
