First idea is to find out why you can't install them using Yum. What errors is it throwing?

I've just searched in add/remove software and found 'twitux' listed; have you tried that or is it not listed for you? If it's not, have you run the repository update (sudo yum install fedora-release)?

Hmm. I think you can install gnome-keyring, but some past threads indicate there may be problems with the network manager if you do so. Are there any option in twittux which might avoid it using the keyring?

If there's nothing obvious, it might be worth contacting the developers, or filing a bug and seeing how they respond.
