ubntu net book remix desktop dissapearance

    i have been using ubntu net book remix , i tried to swithc to classic ubuntu view , all was well until i restarted , now it says no system try found , exiting and i get my desktop back ground, my desktop icons and NOTHING ELSE , and i cnat get onto the menus to change it back.

    HELPPZ , any help would be much apreciated , i really dont want to do a fresh install , but its looking like my only option.
