Ubuntu Remix issues

Does anyone have the internal microphone issue actually resolved? That is Microphone working like it should and Stereo output also? Want to use Skype and need the internal mic and speakers to function. Also, can the expansion card work as intended with Ubuntu? I really liked the Linpus ability to span the drives together. Thanks!
