    Hi All,

I've installed Ubuntu into an USB drive (sony micro vault tiny 4GB). Is working great but sometimes feels like iced. I tried some hacks to improve the speed:

    1 [/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.24-19-generic root= ....... splash elevator=noop ] At /boot/grub/menu.lst
    2 [UUID= ... / ext2 noatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1] At /etc/fstab

(As said in this forums) But the most amazing one is to install 'Compcache'

    http://code.google.com/p/compcache/

Is very easy to install (build-essential is needed), run it typing: (at compcache folder) sudo ./use_compcache.sh

The feeling is better without any doubt. I hope it will help someone
