Has anyone seen any news about the one with integrated 3g?

All the netbook manufacturers have designed their hardware to accomodate it but so far the dell mini 9 is the only netbook available on a contract.

The Dell is internal definitely. Another card sits in the wwan space under the access panel and the sim goes under the battery.

well at least we now know there are at least 2 options...
personally, I would tether to my phone...
at one point I was going to integrate my phone into my AAO
and that would surely have been the most audacious mod by any netbook modder ever...
but didnt do it in the end, my phone (htc advantage) was just too big, and there was no way to see the screen...
when I'm a bit richer, Ill get another aao, and if I still have my advantage or probs another ppc, I will cut open the screen casing, and seat the ppc screen on the outside, giving my instant access to email and such stuff...

I haven't seen it out yet (anywhere globally that is, except for that thing about Vodafone Germany bundle, of which details beyond a press release seem scant.

I did however email Acer UK about this very question, unfortunately all I got back was a semi pre printed info email that just said look at acer.co.uk for what models are available, and pricing.

Looking at the site, oddly reveals they've now updated the Aspire One specs page to show WWAN as part of the Aspire One spec availability, but alas when you go to the Models page, it only shows the ones we know thus far.

I'm hoping it'll land sometime before Christmas though (I say hoping, as surely with the Advent/ECS and Dell with built in 3G, and Asus announcing models with it, it must put the pressure on Acer??)
