    Hi all,

This has probably been asked before, but the search won't allow me to search for "keyboard" as it's too common a word (sic).

Although the laptop *seems* to be set-up for a UK keyboard, I don't get things like the £ sign for shift-3, so I think it's actually set-up as US.

I have tried all sorts to no avail. I am an experienced Linux user, but with a different distribution. Linpus is a good though and boots so fast, I am impressed on the whole.

So, does anyone know how to do this? I tried writing to Acer and got a big fat nothing back. :(

Have you run the updates from the setting panel?
    If yes.....
You will have a blue "EN" on the lower status bar.
Right click it and select keyboard layout status.
Now deselect US, select UK, and click set as default, click OK, a system restart will be required (Green button).

    Should be OK now :)
