    Hi.
I'm quite happy with my AA1.
I changed the original desktop by the Xfce default one and installed skype, gimp and other nice apps I was missing.
I followed macles instructions to get Chromium and other stuff.

The problem I have is that when I boot, I get a dialog saying:

I just close it, and that's it, but it is a bit annoying.

I don't remember exactly when this message started to appear, but it didn't appear at the begining.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this?

    Thank you,
    Tom

    AA1 rocks!

    Ok.
After doing a search of the string "Unable to contact the Xfce Wastebasket service." in this forum, it seems that this error was already reported by jimster and jape:

    http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/...contact+the+Xfce+Wastebasket+service+#p36758

It seems that installing desktop-switch package originates this error.

I'm not sure, but from the posts, and google info, it seems that the startup order of xfce applications could originate it. Let's pray that an xfce expert saves us...

Otherwise we'll have to live with that annoying window at startup.
