    I am trying to fix my grandson's Acer Aspire One following a serious virus problem. I want to do a complete restore to the factory default. However, I get an error message: COMException but clicking on Continue doesn't do anything. These are the details of the error:

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
    application or machine (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
    rather than being handled by this dialog.
    ---------------------------------------------------------

    What do I need to do successfully restore this computer to its original state?

    Thanks.

    Is D2D enabled in the BIOS? Then try launching erecovery from boot by pressing alt+f10 before loading windows.
