unable to use EMESENE : no contacts appearing

    Hello

    I have been trying to use EMESENE on this AAO 150 with Limpus.

    Be it loaded and installed thru the yum-install emesene or thru the application (add softwares, search, install: it does seems completed), the application starts, opens, but amazingly no contact appears on the list. Have tried every alternative, no way.

    Does anyone encounters the same issue?

    FYI the emesene is far more reactive than any other instant messenger programm, be it on Ubuntu 8.10 or Kubuntu.

    IT is only with the Limpus distro that it seems to mis-operate properly.

    Hint, anyone???

    allright... found the answer on another place: here it is.

    type this line in command mode :

    sed -i.bak 's/09607671-1C32-421F-A6A6-CBFAA51AB5F4/CFE80F9D-180F-4399-82AB-413F33A1FA11/g' /usr/share/emesene/emesenelib/XmlTemplates.py


    then start emesene and you can check your contacts, especially those offline: they are appearing now.

    emesene on linux4one does that too.
