Occassionally when I scroll across the screen with the mouse, the screen will zoom (usually down) and I must restore the screen to normal size with Ctrl+. I did a search and found a post in the Beginner's section however there were no responses. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9653&p=62288&hilit=zoom#p62288

I Anyone else having this problem and is there a way to "lock" the screen or temporarily disble the zoom funtion??

    Thanks, love this little bugger...

That's the "pinch" feature of the trackpad.

Go in to control panel, under mouse, then the trackpad advanced settings, you should be able to turn off "pinch" there

LOL, where's the advanced settings option? Are you making this up?

Anyways... AAO has a multitouch touchpad (the same thing as the one on ipod touch and iphone) which allow you to magnify simply by putting two fingers on the touchpad and squeeze to zoom.
You can turn it off by go into control pannel, under mouse, then device settings, settings, pointer option , pinch. Uncheck "enable" pinch and click ok.

Thanks. Actually I heard negatives about the touchpad, but it is no different to me than my Dll Inspiron 6000 or my D400.

    This is a great machine.
