I rebooted by typing reboot into the terminal, it warned against it... Anyway, I am unable to mount the system, so I tried Puppy linux, it says that it did not unmount properly, so how do I mount the harddrive to unmount it?

Are you trying to boot from usb using puppy linux to fix linpus on your ssd?
If so, once puppy is booted you need to make sure your ssd is not mounted
Use df to look at the mounted partitions to check if it is, if so unmount it with...
    umount /dev/<whatever this ssd is>
The you can use fsck to check the disk and make sure it's OK (-y to auto fix)
