You could have made used Acer's SLP Home OEM xp key: CXCY9-TTHBT-36J2P-HT3T3-QPMFB, same key found on both my Acers using a key finder
When people use the OEM key found on the COA, they can only activate through the phone

I just used this image today after upgrading to a bigger hard drive. Works great, I burned image on to a CD-R and used my usb cd drive to install.

XP flys without the Mcafee virus software.

Well done sir. I really appreciate this, as I am always nervous not having a restore option NOT on the HD.

I'd also like to get an idea how to make it so it can boot from USB thumbdrive and install via that method. I've lost everything. I get Error 17 when I move the .iso to the flash drive and have the bios boot from usb.

I don't see anywhere that this allows me to install it to a usb drive, and THEN boot from USB ... am I getting confused about the purpose of this?

Thank you for this wonderful file. It acted as a language pack for me

I bought my AA1 150xp yesterday in Spain and obviously XP was in spanish with no language pack. Being English, with not a lot of knowledge of spanish, I needed to change the language.

after downloading the .iso file on my acer 8920(I don´t know how to make my USB flash drive bootable) I copied all the files to the hard drive of the AA1 and then ran setup.

Hey, voila! My AA1 is now in english and fully activated with the XP key suppied with my spanish version.

NOTE: I don´t know if this will for everyone but I did NOT connect to the internet at all until after installing the new version.

    Thanks again..you´re a star :p
