unr9.10 ssd wear question

since i have read that 9.10 is optimized for SSD do you need to apply the various SSD write reducing things that are recommended on the ubuntu UNR aspire one page

i.e.

or and what about all the elevator=noop type stuff also?

or is that not necessary with 9.10 ??

 

Elevator is a "scheduler". It is poorly explained on the Ubuntu wiki, see if this helps :

IMO, You should confirm that the various optimizations are in effect.

the link does indeed help with the understanding what the noop deal is, I shall check the various SSD tweaks and implement them
