Unrar!

Hi all,

I downloaded a file from rapidshare but i cant open it.Its a .rar file.
So i search in google and i found this software Unrar.So i downloaded but when i try to install it
it appears a message "malicious software can damage your..." So i dont know what to do.
Xarchiver cant open this .rar file it says "this format is not supported".

any advice?

 

Most likely you have to install unrar.
Try installing it from the packagemanager and try again.

 

It seems you didnt read my post.I think you are a newbie like me.I asked you if there will be a problem if i install it.
because it says malicious software etc..
I downloaded dark side of the moon and i cant listen to it.
i am getting angry.

But did you try to install unrar via the yum repositories or only by donwloading it?

yum install unrar

It is in the repositories and this way maybe xarchive can also use it (works that way with gnome filerunner).

P.s.
I might be a acer aspire one newbie and fedora newbie but I've been using Linux (debian) for more than a decade now.
