I need the CPU to be always on 1600MHz but it seems that regardless of the power settings the CPU decides by its own on what frequency to work. On most (virtually all) notebooks if I put to "always on" power settings the CPU speeds freezes at max which is not the case with my Aspire One 8G model.

Anyone with an idea how to make the freq to const 1600MHz?

Try using a1ctl....... May be what you need... But why to you need max cpu speed??

Will shorten life of your netbook.....

As it seem a1ctl has only two modes for the CPU: 800MHz and Dynamic which is also the situation now.
I need to set it to MAX speed constantly - 1600MHz. Otherwise some programs are not running fluent, they are lagging because of the constant switching of the CPU from one mode to another.

Anyway if someone knows something please write.
