After much searching for an easy way to update my bios... acer aspire one aoa150

I created a freedos bootable usb using unetbootin
    sudo apt-get install unetbootin
    enter password and go
at prompt type unetbootin, choose freedos from distribution, ensure that "type" at the bottom of page is your usb that you want to make bootable
hit ok and the rest should be auto.

I downloaded the file from acer the bios I wanted was 3310 and extracted it to a file I created on my desktop (file name unimportant)
    once I opened the file there was a folder BIOS_ACER_3310_WINDOWS_AOA110 & AOA150
I copied this to the USB drive

Rebooted the computer hitting F12 and chose to boot from usb
chose 1. Install to harddisk (default)
after a few seconds got an error about no cd or something and was given an a:\ prompt
    typed c:
    typed dir
    typed cd BIOS_A~1
    typed dir
    typed cd DOS_FL~1
    again typed dir
then all I had to type was the bat file....
typed 3310 and all was well

rebooted hitting F2 and yep the bios was flashed.... :D

Make sure you are not on battery power or if it works it may screw up (I was plugged in)
    typed 3310
