Hi, for my Acer Aspire One, I would like to change my graphics resolution to be 1024x768; my current selection options are only 800x600 and 1024 x 600. When I check my graphics driver it says it is the most current - Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family 6.14.10.4926. any idea if I can achieve this or is my hardward restricting me?

Since the built in LCD panel only has 600 lines of physical resolution it is not possible to get to 1024 X 768. You would need an external monitor to get anything higher.....

Or use A1ctl to scale the 1024x768 resolution down to 1024x600 (windows only). It works amazingly well.

LCD does NOT have flickering issues... I don't see the point of 75hz. All of them are 50/60hz. Cheers. ;)

It is not possible on the LCD panels, internal or external. It is possible on an external connected normal monitor.

All the LCD panels used in laptops are fixed at 60 Hz refresh rate. The reason you up the refresh rate on a regular monitor, is to cut down on the flickering that could appear each time the electron cannon refreshes one line of the screen. That is not necessary on a LCD panel.

If you think you are going to get better FPS in a game by doing it, by upping the refresh rate of your LCD panel, you are wrong. Just disable vsync in DirectX or OpenGL, and enjoy the tearing that will be evident.
