Update Libraries

    hey all,

    i am pretty much a newbie linux user and really everytime i try install somthing theres always a library missing. is there a way to download a lot of library files so that i don't need to keep looking to see which library is needed and download them?

    any help with be appricated

    You can get MOST of your software from the distribution repositories. That way, you shouldn't be missing a particular application's dependencies. This isn't Windows where one needs to go out and find, download and install an application. Use Pirut, the GUI package manager that comes included with Linpus, or use yum from the command line. Either will keep dependency problems down to a minimum.

    ok then great, as you guessed then you can see that i have come from Windows to Linux =D been reading up on here some guides so hopefully i will get everything working ok soon :D
