upgrade/replace Fedora8

    I did a yum upgrade and it gave me a list of packages that are "set to be updated".
    So when will it actually do the upgrade?
    It is still Fedora8 which is pretty old so is there a replacement distribution that everything works, the webcam, wireless, SD filesystem expansion?
