upgraded from 512mb to 1500mb but AAO slower?

    upgraded from 512mb to 1500mb but AAO slower?

    i have acer aspire one , a150 , 160gb , 512mb ram . originally with linux but running vista ultimate sp1 .

    i upgraded from 512mb to extra 1gb kingston value ramn 533mhz which i felt didnt make loading running apps faster but noticed i can do more tasks smoothly . but i have noticed file transfer to my kingston 16gb usb stick slightly slower ?

    before it was 1 min per 700mb divx film . now it says 3/4 mins per 700mb divx film? - is it because its buffering it all to the 1.5gb ram then copying onto the usb stick ?
