1)im randomly losing wifi, when im sitting 2 ft. away from my router. Its never happened on my other iatkos v4i installs. I dont even have quartz GL enabled (ive heard this causes that)

    2) random reboots when idle PI$$ING ME OFF! I set sleep to never. whats the prob?

I have not experienced either of those issues. What wireless card are you using and what guide did you follow to install 5i?

On a real Mac you set sleep at System Preferences -> Energy Saver and there are options for sleeping
Display, System, and Hard Disks all separately. Until the sleep issue is fixed for AAO I have set all 3
to never sleep, and I don't get the random reboots.

I disabled the hdd sleep, and so far, so good. now, i think i got to the root of the problem with the wifi. when I boot up, it doesnt auto-connect to my wifi. i have to click my network, and it auto-logs in with my network key. so can i have it auto login for me?

System Preferences -> Network -> Airport -> Advanced...
You should find a check box to tick: Remember any network this computer has joined
