    Greetings,
I'm going to upgrade my wireless card to 802.11N. I need another antenna for the third terminal. I'll trade my Wireless G card for one... or 2 ;) Or, how much?

    Thanks

    Thanks melhiore,
I purchased the short antenna. 1 question...
Should I attach this antenna to the # 3 terminal of the Intel 4965AGN? Is there a better config for the antennas (1 2 3)?

    Thanks again.

There is no big difference TBH. Remember only to put third aerial in place which is not covered by metal parts. This extra one is connected to socket "3" in mine and works fine...

So, you bought the ten inch one? Where did you route it? I was considering along the front edge, with the speakers. Was it long enough to reach the screen area? Thanks...

Long version is OK to install in screen enclosure - cable is long enough. Short one will be OK only for placing aerial near to speakers - I have both and I made the same mistake by buying the short one first...

Will the short one work, though? I mean, will it actually receive signal/help with reception if it is placed by the speakers? I would assume that anything is better than nothing, and I don't have the money to buy the longer version right now. I was worried that the longer version would leave too much wire to coil neatly out of the way.

It will work. I had no problems using it. Replaced with longer one as I had to open LCD cover to check type of camera connector - that was good opportunity to change something but definitely short one is as good as long one...

Thanks for that. That lets my mind rest a little. Now if the stupid mailman would just bring the darn thing...

I will say that it (Intel card) is an improvement, even with just the two stock aerials connected. I can't wait to see how much better it will get with the third antenna.

Before I replaced wireless card in my first AA1 I knew there are several wireless networks in my neighborhood. I could not "see" them with stock card. I was surprised how many networks I was able to detect after changing card to Intel. It may be coincidence but I'm very pleased with my choice and way this card works... Definitely you will see improvement...
