usb bluetooth windows xp problem

    my acer has seemed to stop recognizing my usb devices despite many installations and system restore's it now give me about 8 error messages and now i cannot use any! usb bluetooth dongle, i have tried two different manufactures and no luck can any one please help my acer is only 2 days old

    If you can only say what type of errors you getting... What type of dongles you use etc... You know - as much info as you can share...

    using blue soleil software and micro inovations blue tooth us and one genereic also the built in windows bluetooth software will not see the devices at all. the error messase says as posted above "vcomm.sys file mising please provide location or some thing.

    Have you reinstalled Blue Soleil??

    yes i have tried and it freezes mid install every time and will not complete also does any one know how to set up a new modem connection? when i click new connection then click dial up it does not let me choose which modem to use, how can i fix it. this acer is starting to irritate me lol

    You may consider reinstallation of whole system...

    how can i do that? i tried system restore and talked to acer and they said it wasn't their problem they want me to order a special reinstalation cd, does any one know how i can get one at no cost?

    SEARCH... It may not be answer you expect but there is couple of threads regarding Windows installation in this forum... I have no idea what's is wrong with your system but if have tried install/reinstall/recovery couple of times there may be different problem... I would suggest start from clean installation and do everything slowly...

    When i got my first aa the usb ports on one side were dead.
    I ended up returning it and my new one has worked just fine.
