USB device cannot be detected

    Hi

    My AspireOne cannot seem to detect my pendrive thumbdrive or external hard disk. My USB mouse can be detected after rebooting.
    This notebook comes pre-installed with XP Home edition sp3. Each time I reboot the machine, it detects new hardware.
    But when i tried to install the device automatically., it says cannot install hardware.

    I also tried to reinstall the Intel chipset driver. PLease help.
