has anyone had problems with usb drives, not being recognized?

i tried my fujitsu 160gb drive, and the AAO does not see it-- also same with
    my creative zen mp3 player--

is it a linux issue, as i have no problem with thesse units on my PC.

    thanks!

    hi-

i'm running the standard out of the box linpus--

with some minor desktop mods..with..errr- very little knowledge of linux--
so, mounting and formatting the external drive may be a good place to start learning :)

    any suggestions would be appreciated

    Hi F_F,

It may be the capacity of them; if they exceed 8gb they are unrecogniseable I believe.

    Sorry.

If you are using Linpus with the 'standard xfce desktop' mod, open file manager, select "view as advanced mode" and then "view as normal mode". That helped for me. Sadly, you have to do it again every time you've powered your One on.

Foranamo, did you ever find a permanent fix for this?

I have the problem of the AAO not displaying the USB drives unless you select 'View as Advanced Mode' (and then back to 'normal mode'). It works until i reboot.

All was working fine until i ran the live update and the desktop mod (the right click menu)

    Thanks
