USB Headset & Linpus

Hey,

I guess this is the best place for support for the Acer Aspire One, an Linpus. I'm not new to Linux, but I'm new to Linpus. I've got my desktop set up now, to such a point where I don't even feel the need to move to my favourite distro.

However, the speakers on the laptop arn't great and I would be watching movies and listening to music a lot, no problem with my high quality USB headset, right?

Wrong

The laptop doesn't pick up the USB headset as a headset.

lsusb does pick up the headset:

but the sound system on Linpus doesn't pick it up.

Any ideas?
