usb pendrives and hdd wont mount

    my usb thinks any drive i plug into it since i tried to mount a ntfs usb drive designated seadrive, is called seadrive even the DRIVE_N_GO and a cruiser pendrive and they wont mount even under su how do get it to recognise the individual drives and mout them i am trying to mount FAT drives

    thanks for the info but i am a complete new comer to linux and have no idea how to do what you are suggesting I tried to get a ntfs hdd mounted using the post about writing to this format and now anything i plug into my usb ports it thinks is that drive

    ps: i have done a system restore now so usb auto mount works again
